Implant dentistry has been placing implants in immediate extraction sites for quite some time. The number one factor in placing an implant at the time of extraction is maintaining adequate bone after removal. We will be utilizing the Piezosurgery® unit to remove multiple mandibular teeth prior to placing 5 mandibular implants for immediate provisionalization. We will be utilizing the EX1 primarily to remove the remaining mandibular teeth prior to implant placement

Thank you very much for your surgical demonstration, I have been a piezo user since its appearance on the market, but I have never used it to perform syndesmotomy
For the osteoplasty you discussed to remove 15 mm to get a width for your implants, did you use the piezo to “section” the bone in pieces or did you excise through the buccal to lingual?
In step you use the periotome and hammer to create space between the mesial and distal of root and bone, can we use the piezo to do this step? Thank dr
hello because the initial mandibular split crest wasnt followed by a crest expansion tecnique?
How often do you replace your tips
Do you use Piezo for every extraction or how do you decide?
Thank you. Very informative
Thanks for your response doc.
From Dr,Blerim Sinani
When I have used the piezo, did it slowly, lots of water yet got sequestra for weeks affecting adjacent teeth.
I saw a lot of periotome and not much piezo. Is there a reason you weren’t being more aggressive with the piezo?
All this proces is to reduce the damage of bone during the extraction of the teeth ?
Do the piezo tips dull?
why dont you cut the contact between the teeth . It will make it much ease the extrations
What are the settings you use for the difference procedure?
Eg for bone removal to create sinus window, to elevate the sinus members and so on.
What tac system do you use?
